Outdoor Pursuits

Outdoor pursuits such as climbing, rafting and paintballing are very popular activities and there are a number of outdoor pursuits centres around the country where you can do these activities. Some outdoor pursuits centres have a wide variety of activities on offer, whilst others with specialise in one area.

Outdoor pursuits are activities that require team participation are often used by companies as team building activities to help their staff work together. A great deal of the custom outdoor pursuits centres receive is from people who are on team building courses.

Outdoor pursuits centres, particularly those that offer paintballing, quad biking and similar activities are popular destinations for people who are celebrating an event such as birthday or a stag party.

Some outdoor pursuits are potentially dangerous and require specialist training and supervision, whilst others are relatively harmless. However, it is important to be prepared for the worst even when engaging in seemingly harmless outdoor pursuits such as hiking. Most outdoor pursuits centres will employ instructors and supervisors to help their guests and ensure that everybody enjoys there activity whilst staying safe.

A number of outdoor pursuits centres that are located near rivers or any body of water will offer rafting and cannoning amongst their activities. These are always popular group activities, and team building courses will often require the participants to build and then sail a raft over water.  This inevitably ends with some people falling in the water.
