Motorhomes
Motorhomes are an increasingly popular mode of transport in the UK as many people in recent years have decided to take their holidays in the UK rather than abroad in an attempt to save money. However, despite the fact that motorhomes are gaining some popular in the in UK it is unlikely that they will ever achieve the same level of popularity that they experience in America where they are known as RVs. Many of the motorhomes that are available for purchase in America are much larger than the smaller camper vans and caravans you can expect to see on UK roads. This is due to American highways being much larger and wider and therefore more able to accommodate such large and cumbersome vehicles.
However, there are some large motorhomes available in the UK that have as many amenities and facilities on board as some of the high end American models. One of the main problems with these vehicles though is that they are often prohibitively expensive, so many people will opt to purchase smaller and more modest vehicles such as a camper van.
These smaller motorhomes may not have quite as many facilities or as much space as the larger models, but they can often be expanded with an awning, so you can sit outside them regardless of the weather. This makes these vehicles an ideal choice for people who want to take their motorhomes around small campsites.
